Presentation of Symphonic.cat

The Gremi d’Editorials de Música de Catalunya presents Symphonic.cat, a campaign for the promotion of Catalan symphonic repertoir.
The presentation will be held on Friday the 24th January, at 12 hours, at Sala Mompou SGAE Catalunya, passeig de Colom 6, Barcelona.
Symphonic.cat is a campaign organised by the Gremi d’Editorials de Música de Catalunya (GEMC), for the promotion of Catalan symphonic repertoire. This initiative has the support of Fundació SGAE, the Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals (ICEC) and the Institut Ramon Llull (IRLL).
Within the campaign, publishers in GEMC will jointly promote a catalogue of more than 350 symphonic music works by means of different actions: creating of joint online catalogue, increasing GEMC’s presence in international fairs, offering special discounts, and increasing their presence in social networks, among others that will be revealed in the presentation.
Symphonic.cat represents a whole new essential tool to help GEMC work its way in the global market of orchestras, programmers and concert halls. This, always with a clear commitment to authors and the promotion of their work, as well as to the global reach of our country and our culture.
Representatives of the three institutions supporting the initiatives will be accompanying GEMC in the presentation. The event will also count with the presence and performance by Daniel Blanc.
